Shalom I wish you a blessed and peaceful fat day. As long as it’s up to you, keep peace with everyone!
Hebrews 10, 19
So we have now, dear brothers and sisters to enter through the blood of Jesus the freedom to the sanctuary.
So we have ……… freedom. The word that here with “Freedom” (gr. Parresia) is translated, can also be translated with boldness or confidence. It appears four times in Hebrews (3, 6; 4, 16; 10, 19; 10, 35). Sometimes it refers to a “rock solid faith” (that is a firmly established faith) or a “bold confidence”. Come in unwavering, outspoken belief in all Freiheiz to your Lord
Here, however, it describes a bold (but humble) freedom and the legitimate access to the “holy of holies” of God’s presence through “the blood of Jesus”. Such access was not possible under the old covenant, apart from a single access once a year by one man (the High Priest).
But when Jesus died, the curtain in the temple tore “from top to bottom in two” (Mk 15, 38); This showed that the barrier to the presence of God had been eliminated; Now the people who come to him through faith in Jesus is, so also you, the direct access open. You can always and everywhere, to go at any time to your God and give him your prayers and your praise. Rejoice because that access is free, you do not need sacrificial rituals provide more, no longer need to wait the high priest, but can come as you are. Your prayers can you personally provide, because the way is clear.
The curtain symbolized the body of Christ (Heb 10, 20), which has been torn by his suffering and death, so that you can get spiritual freedom and free access to God. This means that you can ever come up with gratitude and confidence in prayer to God. Come as you are and worship, the Lord of glory.
