1 John 3, 18

Little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue, but in deed and truth!

 Love is not just a word!

John pays attention to the great danger which Israel spoiled and for us, the destruction can bring.

“This people honors me with their lips,” says God complained about Israel (Isaiah 29:13). Even our Christian can easily exhausted in words and in the movement of our tongue. But our reality contradicts more or less blatant what our tongue said. Thus we read in 1 John 1,6.8.10; 2, 4.9 that “If we say ….” Or “Who says ….”, Which is the “lie” of an empty word.

And that light companies and trivializing the sin against which the sharp portion 1 John 3: 4-10 taught, is indeed also a Inanspruchnehmen the Christian state and belonging to God and to Jesus with the mouth, the no of the real life of sin penance and purification is refuted. This is a miserable and dishonest thing. No “love”, you can only “in work and truth”, which here again “truth” the whole reality says. Sure, love begins hidden in the heart. But then it comes out and “constitutes a soul” “in work and truth.”

Live the love of God, because it has been poured into your hearts through the Holy Spirit (Rom 5: 5) .You they just have to bring out and make up your mind for love. A decision as you have taken for God. Have you decided for God, did you decided also for love. For the living love of God which is not exhausted only from the words. Do you love God, you love the people, from all my heart and mind. A love without deeds is not love.

Patch you today sometimes quite aware these words John apart. “Children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue, but in deed and in truth” (1 Jn 3: 18). Examine yourself to hand this word. Love is not just a word, love is much more “fact”. As an iceberg that what you see the iceberg, are the words, the deeds are under water. The iceberg brings in terms of love out anything, your actions will be deeds of love, with the do not you go in other peddling.

Pray for the love in your heart and that this love alive and visible in work and truth. Pray and decide, through prayer, God will support your decision. God is always to will and to succeed.
