Shalom I wish you a peaceful and contemplative Sunday. Praise and Glorify the Lord always and be grateful for everything he has done great!
1 John 3, 16
By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.
True love!
What is “love”?
How to recognize it, what is it?
We Germans must particularly so ask because “love” with us has become an ambiguous word. That does not mean anything “love”! In the New Testament writings, the word “ἀγάπη agape” – that in the former secular literature course also gibt- a priori determined term coined because it is provided primarily by the love of God.
provide true love of neighbor as Jesus himself, when the “loves” the neighbor is called with the same word, and thus brought into the light of divine love, the close connection of the two commandments of love in Mt 22, 37-40 expressed has brought.
Therefore we are also John by pointing to Jesus the answer to our question of the true “love.” We can not even really know what is “love us out. “By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us:” Only in “that” in Jesus – who is also here we will just referred to in 1 John 3.5 out of reverence as “ER” – we see love and they see so that we ourselves be moved by it.
Did you not Jesus, you have not love, because Jesus is love. He alone has give his life for you, so that you can receive his love, because his love is love.
We humans can not handle us loving, check your love on hand 1 Cor 13: 1-13 and tell me if that is your love to other people, so only love to your partner.
Pray for that true love of God that is alive in your life, that they of all circumstances and challenges itself is concluded.
God’s protection, blessings and peace
