1 John 2, 16

For all that is in the world: the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, is not from the Father but from the world.

Here stands and falls the responsibility.

John does not say how this whole perversion of human nature and life has come about and where this whole “desires of the flesh and the eyes” comes. A theoretical knowledge of it would not help us, but on the contrary easily distracted by the threatening fact that by nature all this lives within us and dominates us. It is also characteristic of John that he meets any detailed provisions as to what he sees as this “desire of the flesh”.

Is it really already dangerous “world” when my eyes with joy rests on a beautiful piece of furniture and I strive to acquire it? Is it “pride of living” when I show acquaintance with joy the car, because I can go now? Where is the line where the Verfalleinsein begins at the “world” that is incompatible with the love of the Father?

John would answer such questions well: You know yourself best! However, very awake you have to stay here, and for that reason I wrote my rates so sharply to the community. You can very well distinguish what “from the Father” comes in a simple, grateful joy and gift of God and what is “out of the world” and carries the enticing features of the “world” as a child of God.

There are no external rules by which one might judge convenient. For the one can enjoy happy, what would be for another dangerous world dropper.

Here stands and falls the responsibility. You yourself must judge for yourself what it distracts you only from God and leads away. You have to keep for yourself the balance, the balance between egoism and Help / generosity. Sure there are limits to you before God never can vouch. This limit you have to find for yourself, ask the Holy Spirit to help you. to teach the Holy Spirit you please deal with your income. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you carry away yourself from things of the world and to fill you more with God things.

Pray for God shows you where with you the carnality starts and surrender you’re rampant the “world”. Pray that God preserves you and Protect.
