When I come with Holy fire !
Holy Fire – a Sign?
When the Lord brings holy fire… Then HE burns away the sin in your and my life.
A few days ago, a lady from the Black Riders MC sent me this photo. My immediate thought was: This is Jesus with a fiery body. When I examined it more closely, I then saw that His body looked like a bull.
What is Jesus trying to tell us through this?
FIRE stands for the holy presence of God (as with the burning bush) and His cleansing power. It also symbolizes divine judgment and the Holy Spirit.
In the Bible, the BULL is the original symbol of untamed strength, power, and fruitfulness. It is an expression of the sacrificial and priestly ministry of Jesus Christ (the sacrificial animal), which is mentioned at the beginning of the Gospel of Luke.
As a man thinks, so is he… Our thinking determines our attitudes and dispositions, which then lead to character weaknesses or virtues. Ultimately, our entire life will be determined by what we THINK… Therefore, it is without a doubt a very important foundational principle… The Bible calls this mindset.
See Proverbs 23, verse 7
Romans 12, verse 2
Do not conform to the standards of this world, but let God transform you so that your whole way of thinking is renewed. Only then will you be able to discern what God’s will is—what is good, perfect, and pleasing to Him.
How, then, can we renew our thinking so that we recognize and do God’s will? What we occupy ourselves with is decisive. The world or the Word of God. We are all exposed to a great deal of media, which on the one hand is a blessing, but on the other is often nothing more than a waste of time. The Holy Spirit calls us into the Word… Reading His Word, the Bible, and meditating on it will change our thinking. It is not about acquiring knowledge or taking history lessons, but about allowing God’s Word to influence our way of life and transform us so that we sin less.
Very early this morning, I saw in my mind’s eye a head: one ear was completely normal, the other ear had been cut off, and only a small scar was visible. “What does that mean?” I asked the Lord.
My child… What you hear is very important. Do not close your spiritual and natural ears to My personal voice. I want to speak with you. Come, do not be afraid. I expect nothing from you that you are unable to do or to leave something or someone alone.
On the one hand, we like to hear what is personally pleasant to us, but what if the Holy Spirit points out wrong habits or attitudes? Do we then close our other ear as though it were not there? That is when our thinking comes into play.
We often think: I can’t do that anyway, I’ll never manage it, putting it into practice is too difficult and exhausting for me, it costs me too much, I don’t want to do that right now—and so we suppress it. However, that will not work forever. And that is a good thing.
