a word according to Ephesians 6: 10-18
A few days ago, early in the morning around 5:00 a.m., the Spirit showed me a brief passage or explanation about the shield of faith from the spiritual armor in
Ephesians 6:16
Above all, take up the [protective] shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
I saw a large shield with an inscription on it… Trust and I will do Your will… on the second shield was written Resistance. The Bible says we are to resist the devil… but in this context, I sensed that the Lord is saying… whoever resists me and my will and holds up this shield, I cannot work in their heart. Now, perhaps people and life circumstances have shaped us so negatively that we want to protect ourselves in any confrontation. Which is not wrong in itself, for the Bible also says we are to guard our hearts. But not when, in the same
breath, we go against God and His orders—perhaps not actively, but passively—protecting ourselves and not allowing His Holy Spirit to work in our hearts so that change for the better and healing can take place. The crazy thing about this attitude is that we seriously assume we can protect ourselves. Let us all strive for the FEAR of the LORD, so that all fear of man and the cunning of the enemy may depart from within us and from around us.
Shalom, from the bottom of my heart, Sabine
