1 John 4: 8

Who does not love does not know God; for God is love.

Through the love everything is made!

For that to be the negative consequence of the last verse:

“1 John 4.7 Beloved, let us love one another! For love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God and knows God. ”

But for John and for the recipients of his letter was in the set much more. John uses here a form of the word “recognize”, the “~ EGNO” is in Greek. That leaves the listener immediately to the word “gnosis” think of the word that had become the boasting self-designation of so serious fighting by the apostle movement. This movement accused the municipalities: Your “believes” yes just what the Apostles say to you; but we “recognize” God himself. We have advanced on the way philosophical or religious mystical “knowledge” of God and who “know God” in our large teaching system. John can not engage in an examination of these systems and to a debate with all their statements.

He puts the question: What is with you with the “love”?

Mag sound their words of their “knowledge” still so confident and shiny, not living in love. Therefore “recognized” this knowledge loose men in truth God at all. At its true essence, they go by with all their speculations. “For God is love.” Everything is profitable without the love of anything to nothing.

You like everything can possess everything have any knowledge, you have not love, it is good for nothing, for nothing. Everything that is not worked from the love of God will perish. Only love will persist across all eternity beyond.

Pray for that whatever you do, knitted is through the love of God. Through love it existed have.
