We want to weigh up whether our decision is right, or we find an excuse to question what we have just said. It&#8217;s like on the one hand and on the other hand. The so-called two sides of the coin. One argument for and one against. That is not biblical obedience to God&#8217;s Word. These are self-chosen excuses that sound good to us and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We can get a lot of understanding from people and convince ourselves that, due to our circumstances and our own weaknesses, we cannot say or do a clear YES or NO. Then there are the self-chosen advisors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-blue-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color has-small-font-size wp-elements-64b53157dca922222e092f73da380851\" style=\"background:radial-gradient(rgb(238,238,238) 54%,rgb(169,184,195) 100%)\"><strong>Psalm 1 Verse 1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-blue-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-b9ef9901c769bc7933c9d7dda57249c7\" style=\"background:radial-gradient(rgb(238,238,238) 54%,rgb(169,184,195) 100%)\">Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But what does God say&#8230; what does His Word say&#8230; what does He want you to do or not do?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of us have a clear calling from God&#8230; we have heard His voice clearly, and how do we respond? &#8230; Yes, Lord, or Yes, Lord, but&#8230; I can&#8217;t, I&#8217;m not capable, I&#8217;m too afraid, You know how I feel, You have to understand, God. That&#8217;s too much for me right now. I don&#8217;t have the faith for that. I don&#8217;t have the necessary finances, and anyway, you must have been mistaken in giving me this task.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The list could go on. There is a song that counters this&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes Lord, Yes. To your will and to your way. I say Yes Lord, Yes I will trust you and obey. When your Spirit speaks to me, with my whole heart I agree. And my answer will be<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-f36252204a9439f0951a6f781dd27365\" style=\"color:#8e2222\"><strong>Yes, Lord, YES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The yeses in our lives often have major consequences and bring about a lot of change, or you have to overcome fear, or so much more that is not right with God&#8230; to clean up with His help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IT STARTS with a decision! My will or HIS will&#8230; my ways or HIS ways&#8230; Yes, Lord, I can do what you tell me and ask of me&#8230; perhaps not in my own strength and power&#8230; but you know me better than I know myself&#8230; You are my Creator, my Father, my Lord. And so today I decide, Thy will be done&#8230; Please show me what I should do and what I should not do, and grant me the grace to implement it in my little everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-background\" style=\"background:linear-gradient(135deg,rgb(238,238,238) 15%,rgb(169,184,195) 100%)\"><strong>Serving God is not a hobby that one can choose to do or not to do.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lord, I am sorry for where I have failed. Give me a fresh start, heal me, and sanctify me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-blue-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-7013165446af5ae9d2185acb19910c67\"><strong>Job 28:28 And he said to man, \u201cBehold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil, that is understanding!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">One more word of encouragement&#8230; you are not alone in this struggle. Many great biblical heroes, such as Moses, Gideon, and David, had these huge doubts and fears&#8230; when we read the Psalms of David, many of them are an outpouring of his heart&#8217;s anguish before God and often also lamentations, but then he always said yes again. Lord, I am suffering and I feel miserable, but I choose to praise You and trust in You.
